Mix the salt and spiced together. Generously season the steaks on both sides, massaging the spices into the beef. Cover, and let sit for 30 minuets at room temperature.

2
Meanwhile make the mojo. Combine all the ingredients in a non-reactive bowl. Stir to combine.

Heat oil and 1 tbsp. butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook 1 steak, for medium rare, about 1 minute on each side. Remove from heat and cover with aluminum foil. Add 1/2 tbsp. butter to the skillet and cook the 2nd steak in the same manner. Remove from heat and place with the 1st under cover.

Turn down the heat to medium-low. To the skillet, add the lime juice, minced garlic, and the remaining butter. Deglaze the pan and soften the garlic (do not brown). Pour the juices/butter/garlic mixuer from the pan over the steaks. Top with the fresh mojo and serve immediately.

The orignial meal comes with Black Beans & Rice and Plantains. We don't do plantains, but we do have her favorite Black Beans & Rice recipe here.
