Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium sillet mealt the butter and saute the onion until transluscent. Add the 1 tbsp. of sugar and cook until the onion have caramelized, about 15 minutes. Set aside.

On a baking sheet covered with aluminum foil (for easy cleanup), bake the bacon for 25 minutes or until crispy. Drain on paper towels, then chopped into bits.

In a bowl, add the milk and soak the sliced bread for about 3 to 4 minutes. Squeeze out the milk, yes this is messy, and add to the larger bowl in the next step.

In a large bowl, add the ground beef, 2 eggs, salt, pepper, garlic and onion, Steak sauce, pasrsley, caramelized onions, milk soaked bread slices, breadcrumbs, and cheese. So, bascailly everything in the ingredients list..... Mix until totally combined and for this into 2-inch meatballs.

Again on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, place the meatballs about 1-inch apart Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

Makes approx. 24 meatballs. Goes just great with our Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes or even just some fries.
