Mix the condensed milk and peppermint extract. Slowly add the powdered sugar until you get the consistency of cookie dough. Sprinkle powdered sugar on parchment paper and roll our the dough until it is 1/4-inch thick. Using a cookie cutter, you can cut these into whatever shape you choose. Put in the freezer for 30 to 60 minutes.

Melt the chocolate and shortening over a double boiler stirring until completely melted.

Take the patties and using a fork, dip into the chocolate and then set them on the parchment paper lined tray and pop into the fridge to chill for about 3 hours.

After 3 hours of waiting, try not to eat them all at once!
